I was exchanging some US$ for Can$ this evening. I was looking at the $100 bill and noticed the sentence “In G-d We Trust”.
I know its there. I’ve seen it before, but this time I really noticed it.
After I left, I just kept on thinking about that line “In G-d We Trust”.
Do we really?
How do we live our lives to show this trust?
Now I am sure most of the people reading this are upright citizens who would never steal.
But what about fudging some numbers on your taxes?
How about eating some of the grapes while you are shopping?
Do you ever try to park without paying the meter?
Do you live on credit?
Do you give charity?
I’m sure the list could go on.
How would you act if you did Trust?
How would you fee?
What would the world look like if we lived our lives by this Credo?
Something to think about.

Often change is preceded by a single event, it can be as magical as the birth of your child, as simple as a casual interaction that you observed, or as painful as the traumatic loss of a loved one. The change was there waiting to happen it just needed the spark that would ignite the chain reaction that led to your growth.
What has been your catalyst for change?
Sharing this not only gives you a sense of what has moved you forward, but it can also give strength to others who are going through difficult times. Often it is our lowest moments that are are strongest catalysts for change.
I do hope you will take a few moments to share.

“Nothing builds self-esteem and self-confidence like accomplishment.” ~ Thomas Carlyle
We are often hamstrung by our own self-defeating thoughts. If we tell ourselves enough times that we can’t we soon come to believe it. Just because we think it does not make it true. We are far more capable of succeeding than we can imagine, we just have to make the effort.
Think back to a time when something was put upon you that you were sure you would fail at, but in the end you succeeded. What internal shift happened within you? What did you learn from that experience? How can you carry the lesson forward?

When we hear the saying “No Pain. No Gain.” we probably think of someone doing that last set on the bench press or running that last 100 meters of a 5 km run. It’s all about getting in physical shape, right. Wrong.
Any time we step our of where we are and move towards were we want to be, we may begin to experience a sense of pain. It may be Read the rest of this entry »
