I can’t remember the source, but I remember hearing an idea.
“If everyone took a sack that represented their life, and put it on a table, and then they could take any other pack that they want, everyone would take back their own pack.”
We always talk about what we don’ t have, whether they be objects or abilities, and how we are envious of what others have, but at the end of the day we would much rather be ourselves than any other person.
In this light I ask you.
If you could be great at only one thing, what would it be?
What is it that would complete your life.
Be honest with yourself.

For some it’s the Bible, for others its ‘Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy’. You may be moved by the fiction of Terry Goodkind or the biography of Gandhi. Whether it is ‘The Magic Of Thinking Big’ or ‘Of Mice And Men’ there are books that have had a massive impact on you emotionally and intellectually. What was it about one book that has such an effect on you? What life lessons did you learn? How did it change you? When is the last time you read it? I’d love to read about the books that have had the greatest impact on you.
How can I be of service to you? Check out our “Help 500″ Project.

As Oliver Wendell Holmes observed, “We all need an education in the obvious.” Read the rest of this entry »

Though we should never dwell on it, our past experiences often hold the insights on how we can move forward to our best self.
Recall a time or times in your life where you felt the greatest sense of reward.
Why was it rewarding?
What values were you holding to?
What behaviors did you show?
This questioning will help you to get a greater sense of the values that are important to you , and the awareness that you should look for opportunities to recreate the feeling.
By continually doing that which we find rewarding, we move through our days with a feeling of accomplishment and purpose.
