8 Steps To Success In Network Marketing.

Though over the years there has been much stigma attached to Network Marketing / Direct Marketing / MLM, for someone with little business skill, capital, and time it can be a great starting place. A strong Network Marketing system will offer a good product, a great support system and a fully functioning back end . All you have to do is market the product and the business and they do the rest; Automated order taking, billing, shipping, customer service, accounting, etc.

I think what has caused the negativity around MLM are twofold.

First is the Pyramid Schemes, where lots of money was exchanged with no real product or value.

Secondly is the often unprofessional and deceptive ways in which some network marketers present themselves. For example, you are introduced to an “Opportunity”. You are told how easy it will be, only a few hours a week, no cold calling necessary, no product to sell. And amazingly, by working only a few hours a week, not calling anyone and not selling anything, you will make a lot of money and retire in a few short years.
It business terms I call this “A Load of Doo Doo (I don’t use fowl language)”

Now it is possible to experience great success in Direct Marketing, you just have to know what the steps are.

Here are 8 tips to keep in mind if you want to succeed in Network Marketing. Read the rest of this entry »

Reaching For Success Without the BS

I have been building successful businesses for close to 20 years. Over the past 5 years I have built www.label-land.com from scratch, into a very profitable online label company. The purpose of this last venture was to set the stage to become a business consultant.
As much fun as I have creating my own businesses, I find than I experience greater joy when I can help others get what they want.
To this end I have set a goal to help 20 people achieve a greater level of success in 2008.
Though not limited to it, I have decided to suggest a Direct Marketing business as the platform for this project. The reason for this is that, when you look beyond the negative stigma created by poor marketers, you see a very practical and useful system.
What DM businesses offer is a fully functioning back end. All you have to do is market the product and they do the rest; Automated order taking, billing, shipping, customer service, accounting, etc.

Often when people are introduced with an “Opportunity” they are told how easy it will be, only a few hours a week, no cold calling necessary. It business terms we call this “A Load of Doo Doo (I don’t use fowl language)”

Here is the reality…

If you want to succeed you will have to;

* Work - Expect to work on your success a minimum of 15-20 hrs/week
* You will have to speak to potential customers. - Not necessarily people you know
* You will have to invest money - I will show you how to keep your investment small.
* You will have to think outside the box.
* You will have to expect setbacks.
* Have Fun.
* Be a team player.
* Be willing to share.
* Did I mention WORK.

Over the next 2 weeks we will begin to get things under way.

In the meantime you can look at the DM project that I am currently working on at www.agel.com

and sign up for a free E-book “The 7 Lies of Network Marketing.”
The e-book page is very infomercial style. Look past it and use your thinking cap to take out the wisdom.

To Your Success,

Putting And End To Annoying Network Marketers.

If it hasn’t happened to you yet, it is bound to happen. Your friend or a family member calls you up and says something along the lines of:

If I could show you away to achieve your financial goals, running your own business and working less than 10 hours a week, would you be interested?

or

I just got into this business and I think it would be perfect for you, can you come to a meeting Thursday night an I’ll give you more details?

On the inside you are screaming ‘Bug off, leave me the heck alone’, but on the outside you try to graciously defect, or out of pity check out the program. But deep down you know the last thing you are going to do is get involved in some MLM (Multi Level Marketing) / Pyramid / Direct Selling business where you have to harass your friends an family, go to redundant meetings and loose your identity to become a walking commercial.

The Solution:

If you say ‘No’ or ‘I’m not interested’. This is a signal for the marketer to keep pressing, because they are taught that, if you were truly aware of the value of the business then you would get on board right away.

But….

Instead of deflecting and debating, go for educating.

Tell them that you have been doing some research on MLM and you want to share some information with them before you proceed any further

Then take their email and send them this link (http://robmoshe.TheRenegadeNetworkMarketer.com/)

On the page they will find a form for a free E-book called “The Seven Great Lies of Network Marketing”. The book will begin to inform the marketer that the approach that they are taking is not only annoying but is also highly ineffective.

After they read ‘Lie #1 – Everyone is your prospect!’, they will probably contact you to say thank you for the insight, and then sorry for annoying you. They might even thank you for helping them to become a more professional business person.

And viola, you don’t even have to say no to them, they say it for you.

All the best,

Rob

Disclaimer: Though I equally find the approaches used my many marketer annoying and uncomfortable, I don’t want to give the impression that MLM type businesses are trash. When done in a effective manner with people that want to participate, it can be an incredibly profitable and enjoyable business.
