3 Key Strategies To Increasing Your Income.

When you are experiencing a slump in business, whether sales are dropping or stagnant you begin to think of how you can boost your bottom line.

You might be overwhelmed by the task ahead but the truth is that it is quite less daunting then you might think.

In truth there are only three ways to really increase your income.

Ready?

1. Increase your customers.

2. Increase the amount each customer spends per purchase.

3. Increase the number of times a customer buys

That’s it. It’s that simple.

Let me show you have powerful these three strategies can have on your business when used together.

Let’s say:

  • You have 500 customers.
  • The average customer spends $75/transaction.
  • They make one transaction per year.

Lets look at the numbers

500 x $75 x 1 = $37,500
Now lets see what happens when you use these strategies and increase theses three areas by 10%.

550 x $82.50 x 1.1 = $49,912.50

A 10% increase in customers, average sale, and transactions/year grows your income by 33.1%.
Its called geometric growth.

And if you increase these areas by 20% your income grows to $64,800. That a %72.8 growth.

  • One hour initial one-on-one phone consultation ($750 value)

    I will send you an intensive questionnaire that will help us both gain awareness as to where you are, were you want to go and what strategies might serve you in reaching your goals.

  • 15 minutes of Laser coaching per week ($500/month value)

    Every week you can send me an email to request a 15 min private laser coaching phone session. Laser coaching helps to quickly clear the barriers/noise that are getting in your way and massively improve your focus.

  • One hour team Coaching ($3000/month value)

    Each week based on the coaching of previous week we will have a team coaching conference call, where we will work through a issue together. This will help you to see your peers perspectives and expand your learning.

  • 1.5 hour Bi-Monthly Business Building Seminar ($4000/month value)

    Twice a month I will introduce you to powerful business and marketing Ideas that will help to launch your business towards geometrical growth.

As well I there will be forums where you can network with your peers to help each other to maintain focus and continue to grow.

OK Rob, So How Is It Free Then?

I am not interested in a relationship with you that does not add to your business success in a big way.

When I work with you my objective is to help your business grow by at least 20% over the previous year.

An Example:

Say your business has been making you $50,000 per year for the past 5 years.

Through my business coaching you grow by 20% or $10,000

Cost of coaching for 6 months ($299/month) is $1,794

Your profit over the previous year $8,206

So in essence it costs you nothing as I will only get paid with new income that is created through our working together.

The first month is a trial period. You do not have to give any payment information at all. If after the first month you decide to continue you will be registered and will be billed $299. Each month you will be asked if you received your moneys worth. If yes. you will be billed $299 if not you won’t be billed anything.

A Small Group.

I will only be working with a limited number of clients through this process, as I only have a small window of time available each week to work with you.

6 Months Only.

This is not an indefinite offer. This coaching process will only be available to you for 6 months. My intention is after 6 months to graduate you to a full paying client with all its benefits. My objective is to create millionaires. If after 6 months you have benefited from the coaching and wish to continue, but are not motivated to go for significant an ongoing growth in your business, I will be glad to refer you to one of my peers who works with smaller businesses.

Why Are Smart Businesses Owners Hiring More Strategic Marketing Coaches In Bad Times, Than They Ever Hired In Good Times

For some it might be counter intuitive, but think about it.

As a business owner what do you want to do when times are tough. You want to cut back.

You cut back on marketing, advertising, and coaching. Why? Because you believe business is going to drop big time and you go into hibernation mode. So in your mind you logic that the best thing to do is cut back on all the EXTRAS.

But are they really EXTRAS?

Lets look at each of them.

Advertising

How has your advertising been working up until now? Has it brought you in business? Is it paying for itself?

Say you are running a monthly ad that costs you $500. It brings you in 50 customers per ad run and the average order is $15. So your return after ad costs is $250.

Now lets say you expect business to drop 30% in this tough period. So instead of getting 5o orders you will only get 40 at $15. Now the return is only $25 and more likely its a negative if you have product costs. So for discussion sake we will say that in this scenario after expenses you are actually losing $75 on this ad.

It would seem clear that you should not run this add again. Right?

If your product or service is a one off then there might be a need to hold back, but if your customers buy from you on a repeat basis you might be really harming your business.

In the above situation if you were losing $75/month and stopped the ad you would save $900 (75×12) over the year. But by doing this you would also lose out in getting 420 (35×12) new customers as well. If you have only a 40% retention rate of customers it would me that you would lose out on $2520 in repeat business the following year (40% of 420 -> 168 x $15)

As well it is important to realize that in tough times the advertisers probably have more ad space available and would be willing to cut you a deal during this time period. Try to see the big picture.

Even from this basic example it can be seen how detrimental it would be to your business to eliminate advertising during tough times.

Marketing

Marketing is more that just conventional advertising, it is not just about letting people know that you have a product and where you are located. It is about creating a relationship with your customer. Its giving the client the opportunity to see how important they are to you, to know that they are under your protection and have their best interests in mind. The media ad you put out might bring in a customer once. The way you market yourself and your business will determine whether they are one time purchasers or lifetime clients. When you market yourself effectively and put in the effort to stay at the front of your clients thoughts. They even in tough times they will stay loyal to you, and they will not even leave you for a lower priced competitor.
