12. A Great Aggregator and More.

Uncategorized Add comments

There is so much to learn about with regards to blogging. And each facet has a book written on it.

I am learning a little bit about aggregators right now. An aggregator is a service that gathers information published by different sources and organises it together under a common search interface. Or to but it simply, you can check all your favorite blogs and news on one page.

As I was reading about aggregating, I remembered an article I read in the October 06 issue of Business 2.0. It was an article talking about the next disruptors, ideas that will blow the competition out of the water.

One of the ideas profiled was Netvibes.

Netvibes is a custom made Web 2.0 home page solution.

They give you a list of info boxes that you can place anywhere on the page. You can add your own list of feeds, check your email, track ebay items,  etc. And it is so easy to use. You just drag the box to the spot you want it and you’re done. No programming skills needed.

If you wand to make your own personal feed page, just click “add my feed”, type in the URL, and place it on the page.

If you sign up (free), you can check your page anywhere there is a Internet connection.

Up until now I was going to one blog at a time (can you say armature?), but now I will have all the blogs and news that I am interested in on one page.

I like.

If you try it out let me know what you thing. If you have something you like let me know.
